    ART CLUB is for students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade who would like to further develop their art skills. There will be two session of the art club for grades 2 & 3 and grades 4 & 5. The club limit is 20 students for each session.

  • Chorus Club

    Chorus Club is an afterschool, singing-based performance club open to 4th and 5th graders. There is no audition required nor limit. A $20 fee for music materials and t-shirt can be found on MyPaymentsPlus. Chorus Club will perform 2 times, once at Ivy Creek and once at Seckinger High School on May 9 and May 16th.

    FCA CLUB is a club for all grade levels who want to grow their relationship with Jesus Christ and spread His word in our community. The club limit is 40 students.

  • First Lego League Discover Team

    FIRST Lego League Discover challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. In Discover, teams of students focus on the fundamentals of engineering. They use the Engineering and Design Process to solve a real world problem using Lego Bricks. The team will design, share and refine a solution to a given problem. The core values (discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, teamwork and fun) guide the team through preparation and competition.

    The First Lego League Discover team will consist of 8 students that are in Kindergarten or First Grade. All students are invited to apply. A selection committee will evaluate students on several factors including grades, conduct, attendance, teamwork skills, and this application. The entire application must be completed in order to be considered.

    Club Dates: We will meet every Tuesday from January 30 - April 9 (excluding February 20th and April 2). We will have a First Lego League Showcase on Saturday, April 13. More details for the showcase will be announced at a later date.

    Club Time: Attendance at all club meetings is expected. The club will meet on Tuesdays from 3:15- 4:15 PM. Students must be picked up in the bus lane promptly at 4:15 PM.

  • First Lego League Explore Team

    FIRST Lego League Explore is a club for 2nd and 3rd grade students that challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. Students will explore real-world problems, learn to design, code, and create unique solutions with LEGO bricks powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE Essential. The club is limited to 6 students.

  • Library Club

    For 3rd grade students. A limited number of students will be selected based on an application and teacher recommendation.  Students will perform a variety of tasks including shelving books, making deliveries, light cleaning and assisting other students. Helpers meet twice a month during the school day for 20 minutes according to teacher and student schedule, typically during recess and once a month on Monday afternoons.  Exceptional behavior is required of all media helpers.

    • Club dues ($20) cover the cost of a club t-shirt and after school snacks.  Note:  Dues will be collected upon acceptance into the club.  Ms. Sharp will send further instructions at the appropriate time.

  • News Crew

    For 5th grade students. A limited number of students are selected to participate based on application and teacher recommendation. The selected students will work in teams to broadcast Ivy Creek's morning news program, "Live on 5". Jobs include anchoring the news, operating cameras, running sound, operating software, and production equipment. Exceptional behavior is required of all news crew members.

  • PBIS Club

    PBIS CLUB is for students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade who want to develop leadership skills and be a voice for students in our school.

    The club limit is 15 students (5 per grade level.)

  • Readers Rally

    For 4th and 5th grade students.  Members read fantastic books from the GCPS Readers Rally list and discuss them during club meetings.  They practice questioning and answering each other based on the contents of the books.  In February, we have a school competition in which ten students are selected to compete at the county Readers Rally Event.  Space in this club is limited.  Keep in mind that participants are selected for the club based on their application and teacher recommendation.

    • Club dues ($20) cover the cost of a club t-shirt and a Readers Rally book.  Note:  Dues will be collected upon acceptance into the club.
