Parent Instructional Support Coordinator

Dear Britt Comet Families,

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and welcome you and your child to W.C. Britt Elementary School. My name is Ms. Breana Vining-Brown, and I am the Parent Instructional Support Coordinator here at Britt Elementary. I look forward to meeting each of you so that we can begin to build our partnership in support of your child. At Britt Elementary School, many others on our team – teachers, school leaders, and support staff – are committed to your child’s academic, social, and emotional success. Together we can make this a wonderful learning and growth experience for your child through his/her elementary school career.

The key to your child’s success will be your ongoing involvement in our school community. Throughout the year, you will have opportunities to meet your child’s teachers, attend information sessions, volunteer at various events, and participate in the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). We encourage you to attend the many events we host to help you better understand the teaching approaches and learning materials that we use to enable our students to succeed. Our Family Engagement Center provides many resources that are valuable in giving you the help you need. We provide workshops for our parents, recruit volunteers from the community, issue materials such as brochures, calendars, and newsletters. We are even happy to assist you with the GCPS Parent Portal, My Payments Plus, E-Class, and your child's Free and Reduced Lunch Application processes!
