Incomplete documents will delay your student's registration.

Please bring the following documentation with you to Registration.
Students from GCPS/Buford City
- Paperwork from Tribunal
- Valid Photo ID of the Legal Guardian/Mother or Father who is accompanying the student.
- Copy of Student's Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residency :
- Copy of Lease or Deed
- Copy of Utility Bill
- Moving in with Friend/Relative:Notarized Residency Affidavit
- Copy of their Lease or Deed
- Copy of their Utility Bill
Out of County/Out of State Students/Students Moving within GCPS
Register at your homeschool before you call for an appointment at GIVE West- Valid Photo ID of the Legal Guardian/Mother or Father who is accompanying the student.
- Copy of Student's Birth Certificate
- Georgia Certificate of Hearing, Vision, and Dental -Form 3300
- Immunization from state of Residence prior to moving to GA transferred to Georgia Certificate Form 3231
- Withdrawal Paperwork from prior school
- Letter of Decision from Tribunal or Discipline Hearing
- Transcripts from the previous school
- Copy of New Lease or Deed
- Copy of Utility Bill

GIVE West End of Semester Procedure 2024 - 2025

The last day for students to enroll for Fall semester at GIVE West is Friday, November 22, 2024.Students who attend a tribunal must attend registration by Friday, November 22, 2024, in order to enroll at the GIVE Center for the Fall semester.
Students who do not attend registration by Friday, November 22, 2024, may still attend registration through December 13, 2024, but will not be enrolled until Spring semester which begins January 6, 2025. These students will remain the responsibility of the local school for work completion, final exams, and grade reporting.
Special Education Students: Any student with an IEP who does not attend orientation by the deadline will need to receive homebased services from the local school for the remainder of the Fall semester.
GIVE West Registration will be held Monday – Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. & Fridays from 7:30 a.m. –11:30 a.m. Parents need to make an appointment online.
The only day to register your child without an appointment will be on January 6, 2025, between the hours of 7:30 am to 10:30 am. Prior to visiting the school for registration, parents must complete the necessary forms online through our school's website.Parents that cannot make it to the school on January 6, must make the appointment online for registration through our school’s website. We have included a QR code for your convenience.

Once you pay, it notifies Mrs. Mock in the front office. It takes 24-48 hour turnaround for the completion of the Certificate of Enrollment. The certificate is good for 30 days. If over spring break, call the main office at 770-246-5300.Work Permits
1st Way to Obtain a Work Permit
Go to Georgia Department of Labor and complete the Minor section
Enter the social security number or parent alien certification number, date of birth and select "Start New Permit"
Enter name, address, parent's name, etc. and select "Submit"
Ensure all fields are correct and complete and select "Submit"
Minor will receive a 10 character "Minor Security KEy (MSK)". Print the "Work Permit Minor Confirmation Page with the MSK and submit to the potential employer to complete the Employer section (section B) online.2nd Way to Obtain a Work Permit
Request a work permit from counselor or carolina.mock@gcpsk12.org
Bring Social Security Card and Birth Certificate to Mrs. Mock in the front office
Fill out Work Permit Data Sheet (given to you after you bring the above information to Mrs. Mock) to take to future employer and have Section B filled out.
Return the completed Work Permit Data Sheet to Mrs. Mock in the front office
There is a 24-48 hour turnaround for completion of the Work Permit Certificate.
