  • Greetings Mason Community,

We had an amazing February! This past Tuesday, our Black History celebration culminated with our first annual Wax Museum where students dressed up as famous African American heroes and shared their stories. We also had a great time at the Small and Tall Ball and Holiday Luncheon with our families.

March is shaping up to be just as exciting! We have an early release next week, March 6th and 7th. Students will be dismissed starting at 12:15 pm to make time for parent-teacher conferences. If you have not signed up with your teacher, please do so on the Mason website. March 21st is our annual International Night! Please be on the lookout for information coming shortly!

As we get into spring, I have a big request for each family. We have seen an increase in students using their hands in reacting to a situation instead of communicating with their words. These physical altercations are handled very seriously. Please remind your students that if they are frustrated with someone to use their words to communicate their frustrations and not their hands. If someone puts their hands on them, they need to let an adult know so we can handle the situation and not have it escalate. This increase in behavior is very common in the spring and we want to address it before it happens if possible.

As quickly as February came and went, we know March will do the same. Spring Break is right around the corner! The building will be closed April 1st through the 5th. Please enjoy this time with your families.

Do you know anyone who is turning 5 on or before September 1st, 2024? Kindergarten registration will be happening at Mason on April 18th! Please monitor the website and look for communication regarding Kinder Registration in the coming weeks as we look to welcome the class of 2037!
