Terra Club

    • TERRA (Wikipedia) - An alternate name for planet Earth, as well as the Latin name for the planet. This 5th grade club focuses on Earth issues on a local level, such as watershed conservation, the decline of the number of Monarch butterflies, and gardening for food. Students will have an opportunity to compete in a national “River of Words” competition where they can submit their (nature-themed) original artworks, poetry, and photography. Students will be outdoors whenever possible. We often work on maintaining/improving our outdoor classrooms.  Sometimes there is a news crew to report on environmental issues to the rest of the Mason students and staff. Who: Grade 5 When: Thursdays Time: 3:15 – 4:30 pm Where: Ms. Jorgensen’s Room 2.116 Start Date: Thursday, September 14, 2023
