This is my 28th year working as a school counselor in Gwinnett County. I am a native of South Carolina but a long-time resident of Gwinnett County. I received both a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Clemson University and an Education Specialist Degree in School Counseling from Georgia State University.   I have three grown children who graduated from the Gwinnett County School System. I enjoy reading, walking, and being with my family and friends! I am excited to be part of the Puckett's Mill family with wonderful students, parents, and staff.

This is my sixth year at Puckett's Mill Elementary School. I graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois ready to teach elementary school. Early in my career, however, I realized my love for supporting students' mental, social, and emotional well-being. I obtained my Specialist in Education degree in School Counseling and joined the Puckett's Mill Elementary family.

My husband, Mr. Capes, is the PMES PE teacher, and our two boys, now at Osborne Middle School and Mill Creek High School, were students here. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family (you might catch us at the frisbee golf park), reading a great book, and writing music.

I am honored to support our K-5 Puckett's Mill students.
