Technology Education
-
A variety of innovative uses of technology, including student chromebooks, innovation lab, school-wide networking, eCLASS, video production, and telecommunications including Internet access, are incorporated into all aspects of our instructional services. There is a need for emphasis on proper and ethical use of this technology.
-
Students will not be permitted to copy school software or to bring software from home to copy onto the school computers.
-
Online student accounts are to be used for educational purposes only with activities assigned by the teacher.
-
Students’ actions will be monitored, and they will be held responsible for information viewed, received, and sent. These guidelines are in accordance with the Gwinnett County Student Behavior Code.
-
When using the Internet, students must understand they are responsible for their actions. They must keep in mind the following rules:
-
Internet use is limited to the gathering of information and production related to classroom assignments.
-
Brookwood Elementary students may only go to Internet sites that have been previewed by a teacher and/or linked to the Brookwood Elementary website, their teacher’s eClass page, or provided by the teacher on a classroom assignment.
-
Brookwood students may not gain unauthorized access to other people’s files or programs.
-
Brookwood students may not make changes to the hardware or software configurations of any machine. Inappropriate use will result in a loss of this privilege as well as disciplinary action. All students must follow the GCPS acceptable use agreement.
-
Look for additional information regarding technology on the GCPS Parent/Student Handbook and/or teacher eClass pages.
