ParentSquare Notifications Help Support Student Safety

GCPS uses ParentSquare to send attendance notifications to parents when their child has been marked absent. These notifications go out in the evenings.

On Monday, February 26, GCPS began sending morning attendance notifications for all students in elementary schools who are marked absent. This means that if your elementary school student is marked absent when attendance is taken in the morning, you will receive a notification. These notifications are sent around 10 a.m.

For general notifications, you can select how you would like to be notified. Your choices are OffDigest (You will receive a summary of all the messages that have been sent at the end of the day), or Instant (You will receive a notification every time a message is sent). Learn more about Customizing Your Notification Settings in the App.
