    Follow all other GCPS policies and procedures.

    When students are not meeting behavior expectations, teachers have the authority to address minor classroom disruptions and student behavioral incidents. Teachers will document behavior and consequences. Based on the severity of the infraction, teachers may, at their discretion, issue any of the following consequences and steps will be issued (including but not limited to):

    Step 0: Reteach Expectations
    Step 1: Reteach Expectations, Parent Contact
    Step 2: Reteach Expectation, On Team Time Out, Parent Contact
    Step 3: Reteach Expectations, After-School Detention, Parent Contact, Counseling referral
    Step 4: Reteach Expectation, Saturday Detention Parent Contact, Counselor/Parent/Team Conference
    Step 5: Reteach Expectations, Administrator Led Consequence, and Intervention, Administrator Office Discipline Referral, Parent Contact

    Students with two or more Administrative Office Discipline Referrals will lose the privilege to participate in clubs and extracurricular activities, including but not limited to sports, dances, and field trips. Should this occur, activities or club dues and/or fees may not be refunded.

    *Teachers will contact parents by phone or email when consequences are issued.
    **If a student violates behavioral standards while serving a consequence, a more severe disciplinary action will be given.
    ***Students may be able to restore one infraction per semester by both the parent and child participating in our Restorative Saturday Event. See our Bay Creek calendar for the Restorative Dates.
