What is IB?

  • The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a pre-university course of study for students in their junior and senior years of high school.  Students entering the program in their 9th grade year will have modified schedules to prepare them for the IB classes that they will receive later in the junior and senior years.  The two-year curriculum is designed as a comprehensive study that leads to internal and external exams, which fulfill both state of Georgia and IB requirements.

  • IB Mission Statement

The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end, the IBO works with schools, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that people, with their differences, can also be right.
