  • Media Center Procedures

Return Procedure: All materials are to be placed in the book return in the media center on, or before, the due date. Students are responsible for books they have checked out until they are deposited in the book return.

Overdue & Lost Books: No fines are charged for overdue books. An overdue notice is distributed regularly to the parents and guardians of students.

Students are asked to pay for lost or damaged books. If a book has been lost, the student must pay the rate established by Gwinnett County Public School Media Services. Current rates are $15.00 for all hardcover books and $5.00 for all paperback books or magazines.

Payment for a lost book will be refunded if the book is returned in good condition.

Please click on the links below to learn about Lexile Reading Levels. When visiting public libraries, you and your child can search for books using Lexile Levels, as this is sometimes different from a child's Grade Level measurement. You can also use the Reading Level Conversion Chart to determine the correlation between Fountas and Pinnell, Lexile, Grade, and AR levels.
