My name is Leslie Adames. I am a graduate of Georgia College State University. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's in Library Media and Instructional Technology. I have been in the field of education for over seven years. 

 My career began at the pre-school level, where I worked at Discovery Point. It was there I developed a love for teaching. Soon after completing my degree, I began teaching at Sycamore Elementary as a fifth-grade teacher. I have enjoyed teaching various grade levels throughout my career, allowing me to become experienced with several age groups and developmental stages. My experience has helped prepare me for my current position as a media specialist. 

I love being a media specialist. The aspect I love the most is that I get to work with all of the students and stakeholders of our school community. I am thrilled to share my love for reading with each child in the building. I am honored that I am charged with promoting reading and ensuring all of our students feel represented in our school library. My daily goal is to create enriched educational opportunities that develop our students and encourage them to become lifelong readers and leaders.
