SOCIAL STUDIES

The Social Studies Department prepares students to participate as constructive citizens in a democratic society. Students achieve mastery of the academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) through an integrated discipline-based content with interpretive skills involving maps and globes, information processing, social participation, and problem solving.
