Mu Alpha Theta

  • Mu Alpha Theta is a National Honor Society activity dedicated to inspiring and maintaining interest in math, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school. Membership is open to students in grades 9-12. Members must have completed the equivalent of Algebra 1, Geometry & Algebra 2, and be enrolled in Precalculus or above. Members must have an average of 85 or above in their math courses to remain active. Grades will be checked at the end of each school year. All members will complete a minimum of 20 hours of service each year. Community service must include a minimum of 10 hours of participation on the NHS math team. Dues may be paid on mypaymentsplus.com. Students who are active for their junior and senior year will be eligible for a cord to wear at graduation.
