We are excited that your student will be attending Britt Elementary School! GCPS uses an easy-to-use and secure registration system that will allow you to complete many of the required student registration forms online.
Once you complete the online registration portion for your child or children, please contact our registrar at (770) 972-4500 or 175.brittregistrar@gcpsk12.org to schedule an appointment to complete the registration process.

Register a Kindergarten Student for the 2024 - 2025 School Year
2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration

You may begin online registration for Kindergarten on April 8th, 2024.
Once you complete your portion of the registration process online, you will be contacted to set up a mandatory appointment with the school's registrar to finish registering your child or children.
Your registering child or children must be present during this mandatory appointment.

Withdraw a Student from School
We wish your child the best during the transition to a new school! Our school system has an easy-to-use and secure online withdrawal process that will allow you to complete the form required for withdrawing your child.
After you complete and email this online withdrawal form, you will be contacted by a school representative to verify your ID and to provide you with any additional information necessary to complete the withdrawal process, if needed, for your child.
You will need to complete the following steps to withdraw your child:
1) Click on this link and download the form to your device.
2) Open the downloaded form with an Adobe application.
3) Fill out the highlighted fields and save the form.
4) Email the completed online withdrawal form and a clear copy of your ID to 175.BrittRegistrar@gcpsk12.org

My student is new to Gwinnett County Public Schools
Step 1: Online Registration
Families of students who are new to GCPS should begin by completing the district's online registration process. You can access online registration by clicking this link. You must complete and submit your entire online registration at the same time.
You will need the following items to complete online registration:
- Active e-mail address
- Home address
- Phone number
- Additional phone numbers for parents or guardians
- Up to four emergency contacts (and their phone numbers)
- Contact information for daycare or babysitter if they are the student's primary means of transportation
- Medications and health concerns
- Prior school information including the prior school's phone number
- Discipline information
- Student's Social Security Number (optional)
Step 2: In-Person Verification
Once online registration is complete, please call Britt Elementary School at (770) 972-4500 to make an in-person registration appointment with our school's registrar to finish the registration process. We can't wait to meet you!

My student is transferring from another Gwinnett County Public School
Step 1: Obtain a Change of Status Form
The GCPS school from which the student is withdrawing should provide the Change of Status Form (along with a withdrawal form) to the family requesting the change.
Parents of students transferring from one GCPS school to another should complete the Change of Status Form, submitting it, along with proper documentation to the new GCPS school.
Step 2: Schedule In-Person Verification
Once you have completed the Change of Status Form, you will need to come to the school for in-person verification and submission of documents.
Documents Required for Enrollment
- Student's Birth Certificate
- Student's Social Security Card
- Immunization record (Georgia Form 3231)
- Hearing/Vision/Dental (Georgia Form 3300)
- Final 2023-2024 report card showing proof of grade
- Proof of Residency in the form of your lease or deed AND a gas, water, or power bill
- Any special education or gifted eligibility information (as applicable)
- Report cards or official school transcripts
- Withdrawal form from school
- Discipline records for students enrolling in grades 7 or 8
Proof of Authorized Person to Enroll
The following persons are authorized to enroll students:
- Parent (natural or adoptive)
- Legal guardian
- Foster parent approved by a state agency
- Sponsor for approved International Exchange Program
The person authorized to enroll must present one of the following:
- Driver's License
- State-Issued Identification Card
- Passport
- Other official photo identification

My student is re-enrolling in Gwinnett County Public Schools
Re-enrolling Students
Students who have previously attended a Gwinnett County Public School at any point in their academic career already have a student ID number and are considered re-enrolling students.
In-Person Registration
Parents of re-enrolling students must complete registration using this online registration process.
You will need to come to the school for in-person verification and submission of documents.You will need to provide the school with copies of the following documents:
- Student's Birth Certificate
- Student's Social Security Card
