What is HOSA?

HOSA is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division of ACTE. HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for high school students enrolled in Healthcare Sciences programs.

Through the HOSA Competitive Events Program, members can compete in teams or as individuals in over 78 different events related to all aspects of the health care industry. HOSA integrates into the Health Science Technology Education curriculum to develop and recognize smart, dedicated, and passionate future health professionals.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skills, and leadership development of all health science technology education students, thereby helping students to meet the needs of the health care community.
