4th Grade Chorus Club
Chorus Club is a wonderful tradition at Riverside Elementary. We meet in the fall semester, providing our students with a variety of opportunities to share our music in public performances. Chorus is open to 4th and 5th grade students who are committed to putting forth high energy, effort, and enthusiasm, working together in a cooperative manner. Club is facilitated by Mr. Larry Barker.
-
Drama Club
Mrs. Greco, our Theater Arts teacher, is excited about having a club focused on drama and dance! We will work collaboratively with Mr. Barker’s chorus club for performances at Riverside. Our goal is to present a musical in the Spring, and we will also have a program with dance and drama at our December PTA meeting. This club is facilitated by Mrs. Genny Greco.
-
Environmental Club
The Environmental Club is a group of 4th and 5th-grade students led by Mrs. Tracey Rivers. The goal of this club is to work together to learn about environmental issues and the importance of taking care of the environment. The Environmental Club promotes environmental awareness through projects such as weekly school recycling, outdoor beautification projects, energy conservation reminders, grade level pledge posters, and much more. -
Rocket Readers Book Club
Some call this a Book Club. We call it Rocket Readers! This is not a “tea and crumpets” conversation about a “nice little book I read.” THIS IS WHERE READING MEETS BATTLE ROYALE! Book Club is an opportunity to join a team of readers who are willing to take on the challenge of reading at least one chapter book a week and be ready to exchange ideas. WE READ LIKE A ROCKET!
THIS CLUB MEETS ON WEDNESDAYS. This club is facilitated by Ms. Bartholomew, our Media Specialist.
5th Grade Clubs
-
Art Club
Art Club is for students who are passionate about the visual arts and want an opportunity to work with a variety of art mediums. During the eight week session students may work with clay and other sculptural materials, paints, collaging, or even have the chance to experience creating art digitally with the use of a computer. This club is facilitated by Mr. Chad Buice.

PE Fitness Club
The Fitness Club will allow students to increase their strength and fitness levels. The students will work hard as they participate in warm-up activities, strength activities, fitness testing practice, running, and partner fitness and skill challenges. Each club session will incorporate running either in the gym or outside. The students will document their progress for the 8-week session. This will be a great opportunity for kids to have fun while keeping their bodies strong and healthy. Mr. Tontillo facilitates this club.
