Student Dress Code

  • Clothing that interferes with the teaching/learning environment is inappropriate.
These clothing items are prohibited: short shorts, inappropriate short dresses and skirts, halter tops, midriff tops, and clothing advertising alcohol, tobacco, drugs or inappropriate or violent topics.
Hats should not be worn inside the school building except on designated school spirit days. Excessively torn or ripped jeans and excessively baggy pants worn below the waist are not allowed.
Shoes should be comfortable and safe. Tennis shoes must be worn in the gym during P.E. classes. Tennis shoes with retractable wheels are prohibited.
When students come to school inappropriately dressed, parents will be called and asked to bring appropriate clothing to school.
Thank you for your help in keeping students at Riverside free from distractions and focused on learning!
