Lego Robotics Club- "Discover" (K & 1)
Mission Statement: Lego Robotics Discover, children are introduced to the fundamentals of STEM while working together to solve fun challenges and building models using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks.Purpose: For children ages 4-6, this playful introductory STEM program ignites their natural curiosity and builds their habits of learning with hands-on activities in the classroom and at home using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks.Faculty Advisor: Erin SchulerActivities: In April 2025, we will host a Parent’s Night to showcase all of our amazing creations before we go to our End of Year Festival in April 2025!Meeting Dates: We will meet every Wednesday from 3:15-4:30pm! If any changes to the schedule occur, Ms. Schuler will send out communication!Participants: Students in Kindergarten and 1st grade are welcome to apply to this team! -
Lego Robotics Club- "Submerged" (2nd & 3rd)
Mission Statement: Lego Robotics Explore strives to introduce the field of computer science and STEM to young students while encouraging critical thinking, creative problem solving, and collaborative leadership.
Purpose: Over the course of the year, we will explore how technology can enhance the world of art. We will refine our research and leadership skills to develop a single robot from Legos that addresses the theme of the season: technology in art.
Faculty Advisor: Taylor (Ty) Farmer
Activities: In March 2025, we will host a Parent’s Night to showcase all of our amazing creations before we go to our End of Year Festival in April 2025!
Meeting Dates: Wednesdays until 4:30PM

Robotics Club- "Challenge" (4th & 5th)
Robotics Challenge Mission Statement:Purpose/Mission: The purpose of the Stripling Robotics Challenge team is to provide a team of ten 4th and 5th grade students the opportunity to analyze a societal problem, develop a solution, present it at competition, and code a robot to complete missions related to the field of study. During our practice times, students learn to work as members of a competitive team while being proactive in their learning with teachers acting as true facilitators of their educational development.Faculty Advisors: Ms. Frick and Mr. HochbaumActivity: Students compete in a countywide competition on a Saturday in December.Meeting Dates: Mondays from 2:45 - 4:30Participants: 4th and 5th graders who have been selected by evaluation of their applications -
Kindness Squad

Our members engage in activities that promote compassion, empathy, and community service. From organizing school-wide positive message campaigns to volunteering locally, the Kindness Club is at the heart of our school's commitment to nurturing a culture of kindness.MissionTo cultivate a culture of kindness within our school and extend it into the wider community, fostering an environment where every individual is respected, supported, and empowered to spread compassion.PurposeThe Kindness Club aims to:-

Boyz II Men
Mission: Our mission is to empower young boys to develop strong character, leadership skills, and a sense of community through engaging activities and meaningful relationships. We strive to create a supportive environment where boys can explore their interests, build lifelong friendships, and grow into confident, responsible individuals.Faculty: Coach Arnold RoweActivities: Keeping our community clean on school grounds. Sports activities such as basketball, soccer, and other sports. Art Club
Mission/Purpose: In Art Club, students will grow their artistic skill set by exploring different mediums and techniques. Students will also learn about using their creativity to contribute to a community by making pieces of art for school events.
Supervisor: Ms. Fallon
Description: Lessons in 2D and 3D art (drawing, painting, sculpting), creation of a student sketch book, and painting art for school events (Valentines Family Dance, International Night, Chairs for Charity)
Meeting day and time: Tuesdays (Sep-Nov and Feb-April) 3:00-4:15

Book Club/Reader's Rally
Mission Statement: The Book Club is dedicated to igniting reading enthusiasm, enriching minds, and building a strong community of book lovers by exploring diverse literature together.
Purpose: Book Club is a fun place for kids who love books! We read cool stories together, talk about what we think, and make new friends. It's like having a big book party!
Faculty Advisor: Barbara Rodriguez & Kristina Kairys
Activities: Book Club will read a mix of different genres and discuss the different elements of the story. As for the ReadersRally club will read a list of 15 books and become experts on the content of each book. Ten students from the club will compete against other schools in the county at the annual Gwinnett Readers Rally competition where they will try to earn points by answering questions about the books.Meeting Dates: We will meet every Wednesday during their W.I.N. time during school hours. At our meetings, we will read and discuss books. We’ll also get to play with buzzers (like on Jeopardy!).
Members are expected to be positive and supportive contributors to the club. You must take an active role in participating!

Environmental Club
Mission:The mission of the Stripling Environmental Club is to foster a love for the environment among Stripling students by engaging them in fun, educational activities that promote sustainability and conservation. We aim to inspire our members to become proactive stewards of the Earth, encouraging them to make a positive impact through hands-on projects, school initiatives, and a deep appreciation for nature. Together, we are growing a greener future, one small action at a time.Purpose:Have you looked around lately and seen the state of our environment? Do you want to be part of the change to make it better? Join us in the Stripling Environmental Club as we help Stripling and our surrounding community become a GREEN, CLEAN & BEAUTIFUL place for us to live and grow!Activities: Gardening in our Stripling Stems Garden, campus beautification, and projects to educate and inspire others to care for the environment.Meetings: Tuesdays after school until 4:15.Sponsors: Kaitlin Conway, Carrie Harter, and Rebecca Phillips

BLAST
Building Leader Ambassador Service Team (B.L.A.S.T)B.L.A.S.T MissionPurpose/Mission: BLAST empowers 4th and 5th graders to grow as leaders through active involvement and service in our school community. We focus on building communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to help every student succeed. Our goal is to create confident, responsible leaders who contribute positively to society, in line with our school’s commitment to nurturing engaged and literate student citizens.Faculty Advisors: Mrs. West & Mrs.GilkesActivities:Student Leader Council: Represent the student body, provide feedback to counselors and administration, and address school concerns.Student Ambassadors: Welcome new students, help them with daily routines, and make them feel comfortable at Stripling Elementary.Safety Patrol: Ensure school safety by monitoring hallways, addressing unsafe behaviors, and alerting staff as needed.Media Tech: Assist with broadcasting morning announcements by operating the teleprompter, camera, and performing on-camera reporting.Service Project: Collaborate on a school-wide service project, such as beautification efforts or community campaigns.As a BLAST member, students will also attend a peer leadership conference to enhance their leadership skills and connect with student leaders from other schools.Meeting Days/Times: BLAST will meet during school hours during W.I.N time.Participants: 4th and 5th grade studentsSponsor: Mrs. West & Mrs. Gilkes -
Chorus Club
Chorus Mission Statement:
Purpose / Mission: The purpose of the Stripling Chorus is to provide enriching musical experiences outside of the general music classroom that will allow students to work collaboratively toward performances. Our mission is to create an environment which allows students to grow as musicians, build relationships with each other and become lifelong supporters of the arts.
Faculty Advisor: Ms. Brandon
Activities: Members will spend time rehearsing challenging music to prepare for performance. We will practice a variety of vocal music, incorporating various percussion instruments and barred instruments (xylophones).
Meeting Dates / Days: Tuesdays from 3:10-4:15 PM. Chorus will have its final meeting date in May, after our final performance.
Participants: 4th and 5th Grade may participate in this club

Guitar Club Mission Statement
Purpose / Mission: The purpose of the Guitar Club is to provide enriching musical experiences outside of the general music classroom that will allow students to work collaboratively toward performances. Our mission is to create an environment which allows students to grow as musicians, build relationships with each other and become lifelong supporters of the arts.
Faculty Advisor: Ms. Brandon
Activities: Members will spend time rehearsing challenging music to prepare for the performance. We will practice a variety of modern pop, rock and jazz music on American rock band instruments.
Meeting Dates / Days: Wednesdays from 3:10-4:15PM. Guitar Club will have its final meeting date in May, after our final performance.
