Art Club

Chorus
Grades: 4th and 5th

Sponsor: Ms. Pritchard
Description: Chorus Club is an enrichment program for Fourth and Fifth grade students who enjoy singing and performing with a vocal ensemble. Students in Chorus Club perform in concerts throughout the school year.
Gwinnett County Honor Chorus is only open to Fifth Grade Chorus students. An audition is required to participate in the Honor Chorus. Four students will be selected to represent our school in this event.

Description: Students learn about food waste and different ways to reduce the amount of food waste at Minor.

Description: The crochet club teachers many skills related to counting, patterning, while also helping to develop fine motor skills.

Description: Discover Club introduces students to playful STEM learning in a team atmosphere to solve unique challenges and design with LEGO Duplo blocks.

Explore Club
Grades: 2nd and 3rd
Meeting Days: Thursday mornings at 7:30 AM
Meeting Location: STEM Room
Sponsor: Mrs. Williams
Description: Explore Club introduces students to playful STEM learning and exploration of fundamentals of engineering in a team atmosphere to solve unique challenges, explore real-world problems, and learn to design and code with LEFO bricks.

Girls on the Run
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls
Meeting Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:15 (February through May)
Participation is chosen based on a lottery held in JanuaryMeeting Location: Outdoor Track and Playground

Description: Girls on the Run is a fun evidence-based program that inspires participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others.

Imagine Learning Club
Grades: 5th Grade

Meeting Location: Health Room
Sponsor: Ms. Cohen
Description: Imagine Learning is an adaptive, interactive program that teaches language and literacy concepts at your student's level and helps them practice what they've learned. The program uses engaging, interactive games, books, songs, and videos to teacher language and literacy concepts.

Readers Rally

Description: Students read a common set of books and participate in a quiz bowl competition with other GCPS elementary schools in February.
