• Clubs & Activities at Hopkins Elementary

    Hopkins Elementary offers many clubs and activities throughout the year.  Clubs may run for the entire year or for a limited time, meet before school, during school or after school.  For specific information on the club you are interested in, please select from the list below.

  • Fine Arts

    Students will meet to learn different variations of the arts, such as dance and drama.  The club will perform at various functions and events for the school and community.

    K-5

  • FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL)--4th and 5th Grade

    The FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL) Robotics club is made up of 4th and 5th grade students.  These students use science, technology, engineering, and math to program robots and solve real-world problems.

    Audience:
    4th and 5th grade students

  • STEAM Scouts

    To empower children to use STEAM activities to enhance their educational growth.

    3rd and 4th grade students, 30 students in all, boys and girls

  • Girls on the Run Club

    Audience:
    3rd, 4th, and 5th girls

    Sponsors:
    Ms. K. Robinson, Ms. Carey, Ms. Fowles Gregory, Ms. Dinan, Ms. Coy, and Ms. Springer

    Ms. Springer's rooms and Lower Playground

    Begins February 6th every Monday and Wednesday from 3:15-4:45 p.m

  • Hopkins Patriots Soccer Club

    3rd, 4th & 5th grade students (no matter what experience) will learn soccer skills and play on a team! 3 Varsity High school coaches lead practices in the fall, teaching the students soccer skills with their great expertise!

    3rd-5th grades

  • Junior Beta Club Honor Society

    The Junior Beta Club Honor Society meets to promote leadership, volunteerism and project learning.

  • K-3 Robotics Club

  • Witzzle Pro Math Team

    The Witzzle Pro Math Team will provide an engaging and challenging enrichment experience for upper grade students.  We will play Witzzle Pro and other math games while practice strategies for flexible math thinking.

  • Music

    Students will sing, learn music, and play the xylophone. Students will have an opportunity to perform at different events.

  • P.O.W.2.E.R.

    The P.O.W.2.E.R. School Based Mentoring program uses mentoring as a tool to assist in building character, promoting positive behavior and helping students reach their personal best in school, at home, and in the community.

  • Readers Rally

    The Readers Rally Club is a club in which students will prepare for Gwinnett County's quiz bowl style reading competition offered to students in grades 4-12.  Students read books from a predetermined list and answer questions about those books.  This helps to increase reading stamina, comprehension, vocabulary, and the love of reading.

    4th and 5th Grade Students

  • Student Council

    The Student Council is a great way to promote student involvement in school.  Representatives from 4th and 5th Grades will be selected by their peers to serve as year-long leaders in the school.  The Student Council is designed to foster student leadership and support academic skills.  Our activities and projects will be conducted to benefit the school and its students, teachers, and staff.  It will hopefully teach all members that students can make a difference -- at home, at school, in their community, and in the world.

  • Los Amigos

    The purpose of our club is to foster pride while our Hispanic students learn about Hispanic writers, Hispanic culture and history through food, arts, music, dance and more.
