Kindergarten Registration
Registration for upcoming Kindergarten students for the new school year will take place starting in April of each school year.
Need to know what documentation will you need to register your child(ren)?
Any current Kindergarten student who is transferring to Chattahoochee Elementary from within GCPS should visit the school's front office with the following documentation. The online registration process is NOT required for students transferring within GCPS.
- Withdrawal Form from Previous School
- Proof of Residency
- Parent/Guardian ID

1st - 5th Grade Registration
Much of the registration process, including the uploading of documents needed for registration, will be completed online. Most document attachments (PDF, JPG, DOC, PNG, etc.) are compatible. The file size limit is 2 MB. Families should begin online registration, even if their child's health records are not up to date. They can complete their child's health screening and immunizations with the Health Department or their physician before school starts on August 5th.

Step 1: Complete Online Registration Process
For students enrolling in Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year:
If you are enrolling a new Kindergartener for the 2024-2025 school year, the child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024.
Starting on April 8, 2024, complete online registration on the GCPS website. (Go to www.gcpsk12.org and click on the New Student Enrollment button.)
IMPORTANT: Please make sure to choose the "2024-2025" school year from the drop-down box.
Here is what you will need to complete the Online Registration.
After your registration is complete, you will be contacted to set up an appointment for your child to complete a Kindergarten Readiness Entry Profile. This will help us see what your child knows before entering Kindergarten.

Step 2: Upload Required Documentation
During the online registration process, parents will upload the required documentation.

Please be aware that your child will not be entered into our student database and assigned a teacher until ALL the required documents are received.
Upon completion of the online registration process by the parent, the school will contact the parent to verify that everything has been completed and the required documentation has been submitted.

Student Accident Insurance
GCPS provides parents with an opportunity to purchase accident insurance policies through K&K Insurance Group. There are several options for parents to choose from.Plan brochures, enrollment applications, and claims assistance can be found on the K&K Insurance Group Website.
