Connect at Home
The counselors have taken on the task of introducing students to mindfulness for the school year. Through mindfulness, students are more aware of their bodies and emotions, as well as how these two are connected to their behavior. With increased knowledge and practice of mindfulness, students are better prepared to tackle their day with positive outcomes.
Mindfulness can help children improve their abilities to pay attention, to calm down when they are upset, and to make better decisions. In short, it helps with emotional regulation and cognitive focus.

Families also have access to mindfulness exercises and activities to reinforce what is practiced at school.
