Mrs. Rosylia Gumbs
Hello! I’m Rosylia Gumbs, your school counselor here at NMPA. I’m thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community and to support our students on their journey through elementary school.
I earned my degree in Counselor Education from Georgia Southern University in 2014, where I developed a strong foundation in helping children and families thrive.
As your school counselor, I’m here to support students in several key areas:

Academic Support: Helping students set goals, develop effective study habits, and navigate any challenges they might face with their coursework.

Social and Emotional Guidance: Providing a safe space for students to express their feelings, develop coping skills, and build positive relationships with peers.

Behavioral Strategies: Assisting students in understanding and managing their behavior to create a positive learning environment.

Career Exploration: Encouraging students to explore their interests and strengths to begin thinking about their future aspirations.
When I’m not at school, you can find me immersed in a good book, tending to my plants, or spending quality time with my husband, daughter, and two kitties. Reading helps me stay curious and connected, gardening brings me peace and joy, and family time reminds me of the importance of support and togetherness.
