Community-Based Mentoring and Community Schools Night on Tuesday, October 22nd: presented James Rayford, Academic Support Director, and Soraia Santos-Felgenhauer, Community Schools Director virtually from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
During this session, GCPS families will learn how you can engage with GCPS as a mentor with the Community-Based Mentoring Program that pairs caring adults with students in grades 4 through 12 to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help our students become successful young adults. Families will also learn about The Office of Community Schools and the process for community organizations to partner in providing wraparound extension educational and recreational programs and services for our students to be successful.
We are looking forward to our Parent-Teacher Conferences during the week of October 21 - 25. This semester, we are using PTCFast to sign up for conferences. Please click here to access the Taylor Elementary PTCFast webpage to begin the sign-up process. The conference sign-up period will end on Thursday, October 17. If you have not signed up by the deadline, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher to schedule a time for a conference.
We would love to meet with you in person. However, we realize some parents need a conference over Zoom. If you choose to have your conference over zoom, you will get the zoom link from the teacher in a confirmation email by October 18.
Please make sure you only sign up with your child's HOMEROOM teacher. If you have a concern with another teacher, please reach out to that teacher through email to schedule another time to meet.
We hope you all can attend!
