Meet Your Head Coach, Ms. Jamie Pruitt!
Coach Pruitt was born and raised in Indiana and has always had a passion for teaching and sports. She played division 1 collegiate volleyball at Miami University (in Ohio) and majored in elementary education. Although she plays and loves every position in volleyball, at Miami she specialized in defense.She moved to Atlanta in 2000 and began her teaching career with Marietta City Schools. While there, she was the JV/Assistant Varsity volleyball coach for two years for Marietta High School and ran the intramurals program at Park Street Elementary.After marrying her husband, Phillip, in 2008, she moved to Gwinnett County where she has been teaching ever since. Her son, Marlon, is finishing his 8th grade year at Crews and loves basketball and her daughter, Alara, is finishing her 6th grade year there and loves volleyball. Coach Pruitt has coached volleyball leagues at Suwanee Sports Academy and most recently the 11’s Regional Club Team at A5 Gwinnett.She is about to complete her 24th year as a homeroom, elementary teacher and looks forward to becoming Pharr Elementary’s Health teacher for the 24-25 school year. She still plays in adult volleyball leagues and tournaments and is super excited to coach Crews Middle School’s first-ever volleyball team next year.GO BRONCOS!
