Mission/Purpose

The Polaris Peer Leader program works to build and develop the culture of GSMST by providing leadership and facilitation of activities. Students are welcomed to GSMST by Polaris Peer Leaders beginning with the Summer STEM experience in the summer before 9th grade. Polaris Peer Leaders continue to assist 9th grade students during the first year experience by providing freshmen mentoring sessions. Additionally, Polaris Peer Leaders provide Covalence! Lunch and Learn sessions to help all students acquire academic, social, and emotional skills to help them navigate the challenges of high school. Polaris Guides provide 1:1 mentoring sessions for students needing additional support.
