Counseling Mission & Vision

The mission of the Chesney Elementary School Counseling Department is to provide all students with a developmental, data-driven, and comprehensive school counseling program that helps all students reach their full potential by fostering the development of the whole-child. With high expectations for self and others, Chesney Elementary students will develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors that are needed to become responsible, world-class, productive citizens in a diverse society. In collaboration with teachers/ staff, administrators, parents/ guardians, and our community, the school counselors at Chesney Elementary will help all students become successful lifelong learners, problem solvers, responsible community members and empathetic citizens.

The vision of the Chesney Elementary School Counseling Department is that all students will develop and acquire the knowledge and skills they need in order to succeed in their post-secondary pursuits and mature into empathetic successful individuals committed to excellence. Every student will be prepared for the 21st century world by becoming lifelong learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers, and productive members and contributors to society. Our vision is that all students will experience a culturally competent, supportive, equitable environment promoted by the CES Counseling Department.
