Mission

The mission of the school counseling program at Gwin Oaks Elementary School is to provide students with a safe and supportive environment where students can strive for excellence in learning. All students have access to a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, and culturally sensitive school counseling program. School counselors advocate for equity, access, and success for students by identifying and addressing barriers. School counselors collaborate with community stakeholders to develop students who demonstrate life-long learning and superior character.

Vision

Gwin Oaks Elementary School Students are responsible citizens who appreciate diversity, demonstrate empathy and model respect, acceptance, and inclusion for self and others. Students demonstrate critical problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and show a positive attitude toward work and learning that successfully leads to college and career opportunities.
