National Spanish Honor Society

  • Mission/Purpose

The mission of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica is to recognize high school achievement in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote interest in Hispanic culture and studies. The National Spanish Honor Society fosters the relationship between high-achieving students in Spanish classes and service. This club allows us to reach out into the Hispanic community and help others while being able to use our Spanish-speaking skills. The National Spanish Honor Society represents GSMST's mission, vision, and culture. NSHS helps our students build meaningful connections and interactions with teachers, people in the community, and other students. It also provides students the opportunity to use vital knowledge and skills that will help them be successful both academically and personally. Overall, NSHS represents a large portion of GSMST's students and has two main goals: academics and service.
