Mission/Purpose
Our mission is to promote environmental awareness. At this time and age when many of our world issues involve the environment, ECOS is a way for you to contribute to this environmental movement to help this world we depend on. Our various activities allow you to directly contribute to this cause while awarding you with service hours.
Planned Activities
ECOS is GSMST's environmental club where we strive to improve our school's environment and make our community greener. In previous years, we have collected and recycled paper and bottles around the school. We also host monthly Adopt-a-Road events where we volunteer to clean up Cruse Rd from Sugarloaf to Oakland. We have partnered with outside events such as Gorillas On the Line, Trees Atlanta, and Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful. For these activities, you can gain community service hours that help you to obtain the necessary hours for graduation. Although our club events may change this year, we will still have opportunities, both virtual and physical, for people to gain community service hours! If you are available to pick up recycling from the blue containers around the school (not individual classrooms), email Dr. Rackley.
Meetings
GSMST ECOS Club meetings will be announced through this site.
