Fall Parent Engagement Night Agenda - October 13, 2020

“To begin with the end in mind means to start with a clear understanding of your destination (Steven Covey).” For all freshmen and sophomores, the destination is two-fold: graduation and post-secondary options! Learn how to ensure your child’s success in high school and beyond! 

Junior Year is oftentimes overlooked, but in many respects, it’s more important than Senior Year! Learn important strategies for effectively navigating this important year by examining graduation requirements, remediation choices, and post-secondary options. 

This session includes important information regarding social media and how to keep your students safe from harmful internet situations. 

This session will assist you with understanding High School credits and Shiloh High School graduation requirements. What is credit? Credit is the satisfactory completion of a course/class. Explore how to review the High School transcript/report card and keep track of your student's acquired credits toward graduation.  

When students understand the nature of work, they become productive citizens who make positive contributions to society. Work-based learning fosters student growth by providing environments for them to develop employability skills. Learn all of the components of this mutually beneficial program.

Interested in becoming a chef or a cosmetologist? How about a computer game developer or a pilot? Grayson Tech and Maxwell offer exciting and innovative courses that teach technical skills, workplace competencies, and training necessary to succeed in future careers. Learn about course offerings, registration procedures, and more!  Current sophomores and juniors are able to apply to these programs.
