Mission/Purpose: The boys' team is established to promote community and school spirit. It gives an avenue for young student athletes to show their talent and to be part of a team. 

Planned Activities: Practice players' basketball skills through morning practices, work on building and establishing good sportsmanship through various activities, play other competitive middle school level basketball teams throughout the county.

Mission/Purpose: Lady Falcons basketball is designed to help student athletes grow and develop to their fullest potential. Lady Falcons will not only work on basketball skills they will work on good sportsmanship, team building, and strive to be successful students in their core classes.

Mission/Purpose: Intramural sports are recreational sports organized within an educational institution.

Planned Activities: DMS will offer various team sport opportunities before and after school throughout the year. There is no financial cost to participate and there will be coed opportunities throughout the year. Parents will need to provide transportation and contact information to the intramural sponsors. Specific sports and dates will adjust according to the number of participants and their activity interests. Morning intramurals will be held from 7:45am - 8:45am in the lower gym. Afternoon intramurals will be held from 4:15pm - 5:30pm in the lower gym and PE field.

Mission/Purpose: The Art Club provides students the opportunity to work in a cooperative atmosphere with others who share an interest in creative activity.

Planned Activities: Meets the First and Third Tuesday of the month. Art club will be doing various activities throughout the year. Every year we create ornaments for the faculty and staff of DMS as a Thank you for everything they do, we will have an Art Club logo contest the winning logo will be featured on the Art Club page in the Yearbook as well printed on the Art Club T-Shirts. We will explore various art mediums and have fun with the art process.

Mission/Purpose: The Drama Club is a performance-based club. Students utilize teamwork, acting skills, and public speaking to prepare for after school performances.

Planned Activities: Meets each Wednesday from 8:00am - 8:50am in Ms. Neal's room on Red Hall.

Mission/Purpose: This club is for students interested in exploring the Francophone and Hispanic worlds. We will investigate language and culture, focusing on a different country or festival each month. Enrollment in French or Spanish at any level is not required.

Mission/Purpose: A student-run club, the Impact is a club that provides students the opportunity to share and fellowship with other students who have similar interests. FCA was originally started for students involved in athletics but has expanded to include all students who wish to attend.

Planned Activities: The IMPACT Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 8:15AM in the Lower Gym Fitness Room.

Mission/Purpose: Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is the largest student organization in the nation and we are honored to give our students the opportunity to become active members of this coveted organization. The mission of FBLA is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. As an FBLA member at DMS, you are encouraged to participate in school and community service projects, state and national leadership development programs, local, state, and national conferences and competitions, and a variety of social events throughout the year.
