    YES!!! Crews has a variety of clubs and activities for our students. We encourage all students to get involved in extra-curricular activities. Not only do you get to learn something new or explore something you are interested in, you also get to make new friends! Students can gain skills like commitment, communication, leadership, and how to work effectively in a group. Enhance your school experience - join a club today!

    How do I join a club or activity?
    Some clubs allow you to show up and join, while others require an application process. Club meeting dates and information about sign-ups are advertised on our news show in the mornings, as well as in our weekly email newsletter. If you have specific questions about clubs, please contact the club sponsor.

  • All Pro Dads

    Description:

    The All Pro Dad Chapter program gives dads and kids a time to connect each month through fun activities and interactive discussions.  

    All Pro Dad at Crews meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:15 – 8:50. Breakfast is $6 per person and includes a chicken biscuit coffee or orange juice. Please RSVP by making your payment for the breakfast on my payments plus. Link to mypaymentsplus.com

  • Anime Club

    Description:

    The Crews Anime Club offers students an opportunity to embrace their interest in Japanese animation and build friendships with like-minded peers through viewing, discussing, and creating anime, as well as playing ancient Japanese board games. There will be a $10 fee for the club to offset the cost of supplies (paper, drawing pens, board games, Japanese treats). Due to limited space and supervision, we will be limiting this club to 25 members! Members will be selected as the first 25 students to sign up and pay the club fee.

  • BEST Club

    Description:

    BEST Club (Bringing Extraordinary Students Together) is a club for social activities that allow general education students and special education students to gather and have fun!  All students and grade levels are welcome. An informational meeting will be held for interested students on Thursday, August 29 at 8:30 in Mrs. Silver's classroom.

  • Crews Singers

    Description:

    Crews Singers is a select auditioned group of 7th and 8th grade students from various fine arts classes who sing and dance for special school/community events. Students do not have to be members of chorus to audition, but must exhibit strong leadership and singing skills. Rehearsals are Mondays at 8:00.  See Mrs. Hernandez for audition information.

    Description:

    Girl Talk is a club where girls can talk, learn new skills, and prepare for the teen years. Girl Talk is led by high school girls who want to help middle school girls navigate middle school and be prepared for high school. This club will meet after school, every other week.

    Description:

    Our mission is to immerse our students in various cultures & broaden their world view of people, customs, activities, and places through classroom discovery and travel immersion outside the United States.     Description:

    Students will perform service activities for our school and community as they promote excellence in scholarship, leadership, and citizenship. Affiliated with the National Beta Club.  Invitations have been sent out and are no longer accepting new members for the 2023-2024 school year. To join in the future, students must have a 3.8 GPA based off of core academic classes only, excluding connections classes.

  • No Place for Hate

    Description:

    The No Place for Hate initiative is designed to rally the entire school around the goal of creating a welcoming community committed to stopping all forms of bias and bullying. The No Place for Hate club raises awareness of diversity strengths and challenges among our students, staff and parents. The club will plan diversity-related activities for our school community.

    Description:

    A Peer Leader is a positive role model for peers that helps create a safe, respectful, and welcoming school environment. Peer Leaders support all students.

    Students will have multiple responsibilities at Crews Middle School, including:

  • Running Club

    Description:

    There is nothing better than a good run to get you thinking and feeling better. Running does so much for the body, mind and spirit. Come out and join us as we run a 5K each week to Alexander Park. Never ran more than 50 feet, we have a place for you also in the club. You will end the season with astonishing improvements to your distance and pace. Along the way our partnership with the Atlanta Track Club meets lots of cool FREE SWAG as rewards.

  • Science & Engineering Fair

    Description:

    Do you have an idea for an invention that could solve a common problem? Are you dreaming about the scientific method in your sleep and can't wait to test your hypothesis? If you are driven by curiosity, this is the club for you. Students will be working independently or with a partner using the scientific method to create a culminating Science Fair project.  Science Fair projects can also be engineering based and students will be guided in the process.

    ● Projects will be featured at our Crews Middle School Science Fair
    for all students and staff to see. Local judges will be used for students to gain experience with the interviewing process.

  • Science Olympiad

    Description

    Team-based competitive event. Science Olympiad students work in teams of 15 to compete in 23 different science-based competitions. Events range from inquiry events like astronomy or road scholar to engineering-based build events like air trajectory and scrambler.

  • Team Riley

    Description:

    A fundraising group that raises money and awareness for the Amanda Riley Foundation. Activities throughout the year will support the ARF, which supports families in our area and across Georgia dealing with childhood cancer. The foundation is named after former Crews and Brookwood Bronco Amanda Riley, who lost her battle with brain cancer. We are proud to support the Foundation in Amanda’s memory.

    Description:

    Come learn some new skills or enhance the skills you already have.  We start season 10 with Coach Carlos at the Flowers Crossing at the Mill Tennis Courts across from Alexander Park Entrance.  Coach Carlos does not work for GCPS, but has been partnering with Crews as it's official Tennis Pro for more than 7 years.

    Description:

    Anxiety is a natural part of life, as it lets us know that we are uncomfortable in a situation. Girls (sorry, guys, this club is for girls only), be a part of The Social Hour to learn strategies to productively socialize with others, create connections with new people, and have fun. We will build crafts, practice mindfulness, go on nature walks, and so much more!
