The Georgia Milestones is a comprehensive summative that measures how well students have learned the knowledge and skills outlined in the academic content standards. It is designed to provide information about student achievement and readiness to move on to the next level of learning. It measures each individual student's mastery of the curriculum during the current school year, and helps teachers and schools identify what resources and support our students need in the coming school year.
What does this look like for elementary school students?
Elementary schools will administer the Georgia Milestones End of Grade Assessments to students in grades 3-5 to measure achievement in Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science (Grade 5 only). Testing will be administered over three to six days, depending on the grade level.
