GCPS does not endorse or recommend any of these agencies, as this list is for informational use only. Any fees incurred are the responsibility of the parent and/or student. This is not a complete list of assistance resources in Gwinnett or the Metro Atlanta Area. Please check with other sources of information for additional resources.

Lilburn Cooperative Ministry, Inc.

Lily’s Cloak Hours: Monday–Friday, 10am–8pm, Saturday 10am–5pm
Food pantry, Funds for emergency needs, Clothing closet, Referrals for other clothing needs and household items, Referral information for other sources of assistance, Budget planning assistance, Employment resources and referrals, School supplies, Counseling referral, Follow up with clients for additional help.
Must have a social security card for everyone receiving assistance in the home.
Department of Family and Children Services
To complete a child-care, TANF, Food Stamps, Medicaid application and/or to update information, go online to Compass GA

Agency services include Low income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP), Employment Services, Microenterprise Development Program (to assist new and existing small businesses).
Application for the LIEAP Resource is not open at this time. Please check the website regularly for details.
Food, Clothing, Emergency Shelter and Homelessness Prevention are available to assist qualifying individuals with securing needed services through our Family Advocates.

The Salvation Army Gwinnett County Financial Emergency Services Center provides emergency and life-sustaining assistance with food, clothing, rent/mortgage, utilities, school supplies and furniture to individuals and families facing a financial crisis. Family Support Center Programs and Services include Benefits Screening, Computer Lap, Client Choice Food Pantry, Journey Program.
Direct aid assistance is the heart of the work of the local Conferences and Family Support Centers. The Society provides financial assistance for a range of needs including Rent and housing, Utilities, Food, Medical/Dental/Prescriptions, Counseling, Legal fees, Transportation, and Burials.

Must meet eligibility and have certain documents. Please call first.
Services include Shelter and Other Emergency Services, Transitional and Permanent Supportive Housing, Case Management, Street Outreach, Homeless Prevention, Domestic Violence Services, Veterans Services, HIV/AIDS services, Reunification, and Rapid Rehousing.
