Welcome to the Counseling Department!!

My name is Kenyatta Tynes. I am a proud alumna of the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (AGGIE Pride!!) where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. I earned my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Capella University. My goal is to support and encourage our students to reach their best potential by providing them support in three domains: academic, social/emotional, and career and college readiness. Our counseling program includes many evidence-based programs and services including classroom core curriculum lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling sessions. My mission is to help students manage their emotions, soar in academic excellence, and feel supported in all they do. I am here for you and your student, and I am extremely excited to be here at Anderson-Livsey Elementary!
