Reading makes you smarter! We challenge our students to read 1,000,000 words in one year. Our optional Accelerated Reader Program keeps track of the number of words our students read.

When they reach 1,000,000 words, we celebrate them by giving them a 1,000,000 hat. They can also choose their favorite book, and become part of the cover! Since beginning the program, we have almost doubled our number of words read each year. We read 107,022,130 last year, and as of this writing, with six months left, we are already at almost 90,000,000!
