Tickets can be purchased exclusively through MyPaymentPlus until March 7th. Tickets will not be sold after that date. As a reminder, as of January 6th, any major discipline referrals will cause students to lose the opportunity to attend. 

To ensure that the evening is both fun and appropriate for all attendees, we would like to provide you with detailed information about the semi-formal dress code for the event. Dress code examples/non-examples are attached for your review.

Dress Length: (All Dress Code Clarification questions for dresses should go through the grade level counselor Ms. Brittany Gantt)
  • Dresses and skirts should be of an appropriate length and should be no more than 3 inches above the knees (front and back) or 3 inches below the fingertips. (around mid-thigh)
  • Slits in dresses should also be the appropriate length and should not be thigh high.
  • Low/high dresses must be the appropriate length in both the front and back.

Modesty and Decency:

  • Any attire that is excessively revealing or inappropriate for a school setting will not be allowed.
  • This includes low-cut tops, excessively short skirts, and clothing with offensive language or graphics.
  • Dresses may not be extremely low-cut in the front or back. 
  • Dresses may not be extremely tight/form fitting.
  • Undergarments should not be visible on any student.
  • Your sides must be covered.
  • No dresses may be permitted that are open or sheer on the front or the sides unless the openness is covered by solid material.
  • No torn clothing/dressing
  • No spaghetti strap dresses/sleeveless without a shawl/jacket/scarf (must remain on for the duration of the dance)
  • Shirts must have sleeves.

Footwear:

  • Students are advised to wear comfortable, semi-formal footwear. While high heels are allowed, please ensure they are of a reasonable height for the safety of all attendees.

Accessories:

  • Students may accessorize with jewelry and other appropriate accessories. However, any accessories that could be considered dangerous or disruptive are not allowed.
  • No ball caps, beanies, or bandanas. 
  • We will also follow the D.M.S. Cell phone policy. 

The determination of the appropriateness of student dress and grooming shall rest with the DMS Administrative Staff. Students non-compliant with the dress code will not be allowed to enter the dance. Students must stay in appropriate attire for the duration of the dance. 

No refunds will be given for dance dress code infractions. No refunds will be given for students who pay but have not met behavior expectations.
