STAR Recognition
Congratulations to our 2023-24 STAR Student, Parv Mahajan, and our STAR Teacher, Julia Rachkovskiy for being recognized as winners of the Region 3A STAR program (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) at the Region luncheon yesterday. They will compete in the State round next.

GSMST Named First in State for 11th Straight Year
For the 11th consecutive year, GSMST has been named the No. 1 high school in Georgia by U.S. News and World Report, ranking No. 19 nationally.
The 2023 Best High School rankings were released Tuesday, with GSMST taking the top spot in the state with a score of 99.95 out of 100. The Lawrenceville school also ranked No. 10 among STEM schools in the country.
The latest edition of the U.S. News and World Report list ranks nearly 18,000 public high schools throughout the country, measuring how well schools serve students from various social and economic backgrounds.

Jean Yu named Regeneron Scholar
The Society for Science has announced that Jean Yu has been honored as a 2023 Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar! This is an incredible achievement and we are so proud of her hard work. Jean's project is titled The Role of Ribosomal rRNA Modifications in Ribosome Biogenesis.
Jean is one of the top 300 Scholars in the 82nd Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS), the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and mathematics competition for high school seniors. A total of 1,949 students around the country entered the competition this year.
