• We will be administering the online ACCESS test for all direct serve ESOL students grades kindergarten through fifth.                 

    This window of testing will take place January 11, 2023 through February 28, 2023. According to WIDA, our partner in supporting English Language Learners, "Educators use ACCESS results, along with other WIDA resources, to make decisions about students' proficiency with English in academic contexts and to facilitate their language development. Students' scores reflect proficiency levels ranging from Level 1 (Entering) to Level 6 (Reaching)."

    ACCESS Online meets U.S. federal requirements under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for monitoring and reporting ELLs’ progress toward English language proficiency. It tests students' language in the four domains: Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing.
