Lanier Middle School Chorus

The Lanier Middle School Chorus has a rich musical history. Since its beginnings, it has always been one of the largest programs in the county. Each year, Lanier Middle School participates in all Georgia Music Education choral events. One of these events is the Large Group Performance Evaluation, where the Lanier Middle School chorus has received consistently superior and excellent ratings.

Lanier Middle School Chorus has huge participation in extra-curricular activities. Each year, over 100 students audition for the District 13 Honor Chorus with 30 students being selected to attend. The chorus program also has had several All-State Chorus finalists. In addition to these two activities, the chorus has had numerous invitations to sing at the Georgia Governor’s Mansion, the Atlanta Braves games, the Harlem Globe Trotters, and the Atlanta Gladiator’s events. During the Spring of 2019, the Lanier Middle School Mixed Chorus was awarded 1st place at the Music in the Parks Dollywood festival.

The Lanier Middle School Chorus is open to any middle school who has a love for singing. There is no need to have any prior experience.
