  • Returning students do not complete online registration.

    Registration for upcoming Kindergarten students and for any student new to GCPS for the upcoming school year will open on April 10, 2024. The online registration process is NOT required for students transferring within GCPS.

  • Step 1: Complete Online Registration

    Registration for upcoming Kindergarten students and new to GCPS students for the new school year (2024-2025) will open April 10, 2024. 

    If this is your first time registering any student for GCPS:

    • For parents enrolling a Kindergarten or new student, and you have no other students in the GCPS system, please click here to begin the Online Registration processA reminder to please complete the required Online Registration Form for EACH new student you are registering. 

    If you currently have other children attending a GCPS school:

    • If you already have another child enrolled in a GCPS school, you will need to add your new student via your ParentVUE account.  Log into your ParentVUE and begin the registration process by clicking on the 'Online Registration' button in the upper right-hand corner.

    • Please DO NOT create a new parent portal account for the new student.  Use your existing ParentVUE account to register your new student.  If you cannot log into your account, please call the school for help. 


    If you are enrolling a new Kindergartener for the 2024-2025 school year, the child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024.

  • Step 2: Submit Required Documentation

    Required documentation can be uploaded during the online registration process or brought to the office during your scheduled appointment time.  A list of the required documents can be found HERE or on the GCPS registration page.

    A residency affidavit is required if the student's family is living with someone else, meaning the lease or home ownership is in the name of someone other than the parent.  Directions for this form can be found HERE and the residency affidavit can be found HERE.

    Please be aware that your child will not be entered into our student database and assigned to a teacher until ALL the required documents are received. If possible, please make copies ahead of time.

  • Step 3: Registration Day

    Once you have completed your online registration, call the school office to schedule an appointment.    Online registration must be fully completed before coming to the school.

    At your appointment, please bring:

    • any required documents not previously submitted or uploaded
    • your child for their short Kindergarten readiness screening

    It is very important for your child to be with you at your appointment time.  

    If you have fully completed your child's online registration, including uploading ALL the required documents, you can set up a registration appointment before May 4.   Times and dates are limited. Please call the school to schedule a registration appointment.
